Jam at Jam Cellars Tasting Room in Napa
Friday night I grabbed one of my girls (Mindi Levine, radio personality and marketing director at Festival Napa Valley) to paint the town. And yes, you can now do that in Napa! One of our stops was the brand new tasting room at Jam Cellars on First Street. They were having a party to kick things off and what a party it was! The wines were flowing freely (Butter Chardonnay, JaM Cabernet and Toast Sparkling) and the music was pumping.
With a nice preview to BottleRock next weekend, Panic is Perfect provided the live entertainment. This tasting room is like no other - with a big focus on music! The decor is fun, elegant and funky all at the same time, designed and created by Napa's own, Richard Von Saal. There is a stage area for live music and a recording studio/private tasting room.
I have it on good authority that there is talk of inviting musicians (from headliners to locals) to enjoy the recording studio and "pay" for it by playing a set or two in the tasting lounge. There are guitars, a couple of stools that are really cajons (bass box drums) and chairs suitable for sitting and strumming.
Small bites are also available to go with your wine. Talk about fun!!! And the prices are reasonable too - something you don't see too much in Napa.
